'Check for new version' button does not work as expected

Hey, I've just been trying YALC (v 1.0.5) for the first time, so I'm reporting any issues I've seen so far..

If I click on Check for new version on the upper right side of the title bar, nothing seems to happen?
The UI seems to freeze, i.e. clickable elements etc. become unresponsive, this can only be undone by pressing ESC apparently..

System Info

Windows 10 (10.0.19045.3324)
I have ffmpeg, ffprobe, and ffplay in my `%PATH%` but YALC uses the included by default I assume
