On reflection, this is actually what should happen, as Mastodon supports the ability to edit a post. This is the same thing. I guess it means when you open your Mastodon app or web view, it must be checking somehow if anything in your timeline has changed (??) I am just guessing. But it's so helpful to know that WordPress thus behaves like it should in being a fediverse player.. |

I know this plugin amazed me, but I accidentally discovered more amazingness. I have a "problem" that most of my posts have typos. I published one yesterday with a typo in the title that went out with the federated post.
About 10 hours later, I was told of the typo, so updated my post in WordPress. I could not see anything to say "updated fediverse" and discovered -- it was automatic! I went to check in Mastodon, and the post title was already updated.
Ai I just did a little test, published a WordPress post with many typos, screen capped the mastodon post. Returned to WordPress, fixed typos, republished, and saw the updates happen almost instantly.
For just one more play, I even changed my featured image, published in WordPress. I opened my Mastodon tab... and watched the post update in front of my eyes.
This is federated amazingness! Everything documented in Wordpress
