async_import_statistics errors. Says will stop working from HA 2026.11

Came across this errors in the Log while investigate different issue. It says to report it to here so I am doing this.

Workaround for v17.1.1 (until fixed upstream)

For anyone wanting to resolve these warnings before an official fix is released, I've put together a shell script that can be run from the HA SSH add-on terminal.

What it fixes

• Adds mean_type=StatisticMeanType.NONE to all StatisticMetaData calls in statistics/consumption.py and statistics/cost.py
• Adds unit_class=None to the same calls
• Adds StatisticMeanType to the recorder statistics imports

Usage

The script creates .bak backups of both files before modifying them. Full script and revert instructions here: fix_octopus_stats.sh

⚠️ Updating the integration via HACS will overwrite these changes — you'd need to re-run the script if that happens.

Tested against v17.1.1 on HAOS.
