As a student, I want to ask questions privately to instructors or TAs, so that I can discuss sensitive/confidential issues without exposing them to the entire class.

Impact (High): Enables students to seek help on topics they might find embarrassing or sensitive. This can greatly enhance the platform’s utility in educational settings, aligning NodeBB more closely with a Piazza-like environment.

Effort (Medium): Requires adding a new “private post” or “direct Q&A” feature that routes questions to designated groups (e.g., instructors, TAs), plus any necessary permission checks in NodeBB.
