As someone who has accounts on multiple platforms, I want to register and sign into my account using my Gmail, so that I have to remember fewer login credentials.

IMPACT: Small. This change does not fundamentally change a person's ability to join NodeBB, but it is a useful quality of life change that makes it easier for users to access their accounts.

EFFORT: Medium. There are preexisting tools and libraries to incorporate register and login functionalities using email, but it will take some time to learn how to use those tools.
