One question about data collection from Crunchy

Hi there,
I have a question regarding the 'Crunchy Data Developer Program Data Collection Notice'(https://www.crunchydata.com/developers/data-collection-notice).
If I do not use the official Docker images for the Operator and containers, and instead build my own images from the open‑source postgres‑operator code, does the data collection policy still apply?

Hi @Eric-zch!

Please note that data collection was recently removed from the v5.7,v5.8 and v6.0 release lines. Therefore, if you're building off of the latest tags for any of these release lines (specifically thev5.7.9, v5.8.5, 5.8.6 or v6.0.0 tags, which are now available in this repo), then you don't need to worry about data collection at all (which means the notice you referenced only applies to older releases).

And since you mentioned builds, I also simply wanted to point out that we recently published build guidance and artifacts for all CPK components containers here:

This really helps.
It’s been a while since I last built the containers and operator. It’s great to see that tags are now available and the CPK component builds are much simpler.
