Deciding on a license

Decision is whether to use a

• free, libre license (MIT)
• copyleft license (GNU-GPL, share-alike or Apache)
• non-commercial license
• closed license (probably will not work out..)

TODO: Add a LICENSE.md to the root directory of the repository
Note: This is probably not as urgent as other issues, so we may deal with it later. I just created the issue to get it out of the way.

an MIT license should be alright
