android is moving in the direction of a new design change and material apps are quickly following, is there any interest among fossify contributors?

before that the ui of fossify apps should adapt to non-expressive material 3 and use a proper material you palette (issue discussed in #223)

It'll happen but not just yet. The apps still use some M2 components in the default M3 theme (to be migrated). The M2 style themes will also be replaced with M3 ones.
