Bugfix Rewards Program Submission

Hey,

throwing in my submission for the bugfix rewards. All 5 issues are
SpaceMouse / Spaceball stuff, fixed in 4 PRs over the past couple months:

FreeCAD/FreeCAD#28110 fixes FreeCAD/FreeCAD#25926: jerky 3D nav on Linux.
Added event coalescing and per-axis deadzone. Merged 2026-03-07.

FreeCAD/FreeCAD#28181 fixes FreeCAD/FreeCAD#10073 and FreeCAD/FreeCAD#17812:
two button-dispatch bugs in DlgCustomizeSpaceball and MainWindow. Merged
2026-03-28.

FreeCAD/FreeCAD#28915 fixes FreeCAD/FreeCAD#17809: 100% CPU after the spnav
daemon dies. Backported to 1.1 in FreeCAD/FreeCAD#29012. Merged 2026-04-02.

FreeCAD/FreeCAD#29331 fixes FreeCAD/FreeCAD#21997: Coin realTime sensor was
firing at full rate even when the window is unfocused. Got it down ~96% in
background. Merged 2026-05-01.

All five are Type: Bug, Status: Confirmed.

There's also FreeCAD/FreeCAD#28956 still open (fix for FreeCAD/FreeCAD#19366,
Spaceball button list not updating on device reset): passing CI, no review
yet, but in case it lands in time.

Thanks for letting me know and for the quick turnaround. I see how the new criteria work — the Reward Eligible tag is on a different set of issues, none of mine. No worries, the fixes were worth doing in their own right. Appreciate the program existing at all. Cheers

This label can be issued retroactively, but I'm not sure.

Good to know it's not fully off the table. Who'd be the right person to ask, a specific maintainer or FPA admin? Happy to ping them directly with the PR list so they can decide.

@Reqrefusion coming back to this with a relevant update. In FPA issue 470 chennes wrote on May 5: "the FPA will honor the terms of the bug bounty program at the time you submitted your PRs (so the merge date doesn't affect the bounty eligibility, only the original submission date)."

All five of my PRs were submitted before April 18, when the Reward Eligible label requirement was communicated:

• PR 28110 submitted 2026-03-05
• PR 28181 submitted 2026-03-07
• PR 28915 submitted 2026-03-31
• PR 28956 submitted 2026-04-01
• PR 29331 submitted 2026-04-13

Under chennes' statement these would fall under the original program terms (Type: Bug + Status: Confirmed). Happy to leave it to you and the FPA admins to decide. Thanks again for the patience.
