Thanks for being here and doing this work for those of us who wants a simpler local and fast way to handle websites.

Been messing with my Publii for a few days now and while spotting a few inconsistencies reading the manual and getting things running locally it is a very nice experience. One little thing I have yet to sort out is mixing a page with blogroll entries, but I am sure it will be fine eventually.

That's awesome, happy to hear that! I've been using Publii for a few years now, and it's been nice to grow my HTML + CSS skills alongside the tool because of how flexible it is.

Definitely flag/create posts to flag any doc issues. They're a small team of two developpers, and they've receptive to corrections when I've posted about them.

That said, I wish there was an easier way of flagging issues directly in the docs (via a chat window, or GitHub PR, or something)

I have seen they are only 2, but I also seen there are lots of contributors, I crunch the numbers and check stats on Github so I don't land in some dead app with no development. I will also start backing if I get past mentioned and perhaps other small hurdles.

It is not easy to keep up. Part of my RL work has similar responsibilities and more often than not, documentation is the one thing that lags behind and needs more time that one may think. I have seen apps, hell, even Word, where you can make annotations and comments provided the doc in itself has support for it and the access is there. So no big surprise there... It will get better.

Would you be open to converting the page to a post?

I first made a static page imitating my current - non-Publii - layout, but could not get the posts right, so I started over and made a post only page and expanded the Hero section for some of the info I want always visible on "index". After that adding fixed pages for additional content.

Then again, I did start with the simplest option Wysiwyg Editor and have to check out the Block editor to see if that makes things easier.

Still have reading and testing to do. Site is not published yet.

One site well in progress and good enough to be live, started a migration form WordPress to a second site that is in "planning" mode.

I see I will have to spend some money to get Publii as I would like it, but that is fine.

Hello! I also want to note the excellent idea and work of the Publii developers. In my personal opinion, Publii has great prospects for becoming a popular and widespread program for creating static websites. From the first acquaintance, Publii impressed me with its convenience and thoughtful concept. Publii has a future! Thank you to the developers for their work, I wish everyone involved in the development good health and creative inspiration!

I should add that compared to a WordPress installation having similar content the overall file size of the same site is reduced by at least 70%. , perhaps more, but I have only 1 site to compare with as of yet.
