Theme : TechNews : Logo placement

I have not yet touched any code since I am not really sure how it would affect the site generation, but I would like to know if anyone knows how to get rid of the site logo placed on the lower left part of the site in the Theme TechNews?

I can not presently show this because the site is being worked on and the updated version not published yet, but I made a screenshot hoping it will help. I can't find any setting for that.

A quick way to hide the footer logo in the Technews theme is by adding this to Custom CSS:

.footer__logo {
   display: none;
}

going to have to find the classes for those horizontal rules as well, at least one of them

.footer {
    border-top:0px; 
}

but that messes with padding...
