I am using the Mercury theme. Is there an easy or simple way to open links from the footer icons into a new window? |

No - not an easy way as in something you can do in the Publii UI. Your link will need to have the target="_blank" attribute manually added to the theme file. Example:
You will have to edit footer.hbs source in the path: sites/[site_name]/sites/input/themes/mercury/partials. Add the attribute to the code as shown here:
Remember when editing an official theme - create an override to the theme and edit the override - see Theme Overrides for more info. |

Thank you! It was fairly simple and I already had an override for my theme. Added the target="_blank" bit for every footer social link and it works a treat! |
