Issue:
Controllers unchecked on the controller config screen will be re-checked and reenabled when restarting Starship
To recreate:
- Connect 2+ controllers (or virtual controllers)
- Disable one of the controllers on the controller config screen
- Close Starship
- On reopening Starship, all connected controllers are defaulted to enabled
Why this is an issue:
With some controllers not optimized for PC like the 8bitdo 64, an Xbox controller emulator like BetterJoy is needed to make the controller show up as an Xbox controller in order to get rumble recognized in-game. This however leaves both the emulated controller and the original controller active in Windows and therefore in the Starship config menu, but both use different button layouts. When both controllers are active, pressing one button on the physical controller will register as inputs on both of the software controllers. It is a minor annoyance to go back into settings every time Starship is rebooted and uncheck the original, non-emulated controller but it is an annoyance. The same issue is present on Ghostship and presumably all Harbormasters projects.
To solve:
Just make the Enabled Controllers checkboxes save their state the same as everything else does when closing the program.
