Welcome to the 28th issue of the Rust GameDev Workgroup's monthly newsletter. Rust is a systems language pursuing the trifecta: safety, concurrency, and speed. flesh preview The melee weapon in action

Flesh by @im_oab is a 2D-horizontal shmup game with hand-drawn animation and organic/fleshy theme. It is implemented using Tetra. This month's updates include:

  • Support different types of ships that players can choose.
  • Add a melee weapon.
