Hi @zleepyzeezee , thanks for your detailed feedback. We do care about performance. May I know what part of the app makes you feel laggy? Animation? List scroll? Video loading? Feed refresh? |

I'd like to begin by giving a bit of background, I've been using release PipePipe for a while, and have been very happy with the project, and even if I sound really harsh, I'm probably not going to stop using PipePipe for a while, it's just a good program! But I do have some gripes with the new beta, since I installed it when I saw it being basically advertised in the main release app.
UI and Controls
I was a bit surprised to see the big UI design changes, and while I still prefer the colours of the old version, it isn't bad, and I won't be too broken up to see it in the main release. That might be a good addition, themes that aren't just a single main colour. However, I don't like the new "UX", I believe is what it's called, I liked the side menu where you could look through your subscriptions and history and such. Now, it's just one screen that you slide to access those things. It would be really cool, in my opinion, to be able to configure whats on the front page and toggle a side menu. :)
Performance
One of the bigger things I wanted to mention is that the app feels a lot more sluggish than it used to. I know it's a beta and it's not fully optimised, but I really hope that the maintainers are going to stay keeping the app on the lighter side, and not just going and assuming everyone is using a really powerful phone. :3 (Not saying they have been or will do this but I've seen a similar trend with other programs and apps.)
Conclusion
In conclusion, while I don't really like all the change coming, it's still going to come, and I hope to be able to get my word in on the changes because I know that I will still continue to use PipePipe and will get used to most changes. I hope this post doesn't sound AI-generated, or pushy or mean or anything negative. I still really like PipePipe and can't wait to see how the app is improved!
