InnerSource Commons members should be able to see the Private calendar #393

After investigating this further it seems that each new user will need to either:

  • A) be added manually to the calendars and given access, this will send them an email like this:

and they will have to click Add this calendar which will then add the calendar to theirs (the only caveat with this is that Google apparently has a limit on the number of users a calendar can be shared with but the actual number isn't disclosed anywhere

  • B) Add the calendar manually on their own either with a URL or with a file import:

B) is OK, but it seems that option was not worker for @clcoffey.

Hmm @rrrutledge perhaps it was on a personal account and not an @InnerSourceCommons one, or the URL provided wasnt in the ICal format. I just tested it on a newly created user and both the private and public calendars added fine. We could have a guide somewhere with the correct URLs in ICal format so we know they could be added? (or an import file if we decide to go that route)

That would be great! Can you add it in the foundation/how-to/access-calendar.md document?
