It looks like when migrating from prior gitbook versions (years ago) to using the SaaS offering, the way that references to outside resources were handled changed significantly. Therefore those references are currently broken in multiple ways.
Pointing to the references from within the content pages
On the main "What, When and How to Measure" page you see a lot of pointers like [^1] that don't have any effect.
I suspect those were meant to generate links to the actual references.
The same issue exists on other pages as well.

Reference overview does not show all references
When looking at the "What, When and How to Measure" / References page you only see 2 references displayed, while the actual markdown file contains 6 references
