Internet-routable IPv6 not usable? #2900
Comments
I have successfully streamed to a friend over a direct connection using the public IPv6 address of my Desktop PC just last week. I am running Linux, so it might be a Windows issue. Keep in mind that most routers will block incoming IPv6 connections by default in order to mimic IPv4 NAT behavior. I had to change a setting on mine. |
I can do everything else IPv6 connection except Sunshine/Moonlight Client. Can I get more verbose output (Trace maybe?) from the app? |
@Fell what was the setting you changed? |
I didn't change anything in Sunshine. I configured my router to allow incoming IPv6 connections to my PC and gave my IPv6 address to a friend. It worked fine. |
It seems this issue hasn't had any activity in the past 90 days. If it's still something you'd like addressed, please let us know by leaving a comment. Otherwise, to help keep our backlog tidy, we'll be closing this issue in 10 days. Thanks! |
I'm still interested in a fix. |
Sunshine just doesn't work on T-Mobile from my understanding.
And many other discussions on Discord about this. Anyway, I'll be closing this. Please use https://app.lizardbyte.dev/support for support questions. |

Describe the Bug
Is a connection using Internet-routable IPv6 still not possible?
At first, it would successfully be added to the list of PCs (unpaired ofc), but after a few seconds, it went "Status: offline" so I can't pair it but the test network resulted fine(?)
Expected Behavior
Properly connectible using Internet-routable IPv6
Additional Context
IPv4 is working, but my IPv4 network is crp for my usage, so I need to use IPv6.
Disabling the firewall didn't help.
