I think it would be good to get some ideas about how opengl should handle running / rerunning scenes. Given that it has a gui and interactive mode there is a bit more complexity and I think it would be good to be clear on how the config options should interact with scene selection. Here are some scenarios

flag denotes that the expected behaviour is to write all scenes. Should this be outside the scope of interactive mode / gui?Maybe there are other scenarios too that I haven't thought of, but I think it is mainly the behaviour about interactive mode and rerunning that feels awkward with some of the current options
