[Feature] show image attachment in browser mode

I include images in backlog as references. Basically when I add an image of a video to the prompt, it uploads it and stores in backlog/attachments. That is great already!

It would be even better if image references or all file references could be clickable (image to view them and files to download) or even a small thumbnail as a preview would be helpful.

Same for documentation, it would be nice if those references are clickable. Maybe popup with a preview. That would be enough to review the task.

Alex's Agent: Keep as a small current-scope candidate if scoped to rendering existing backlog/attachments references in the browser as clickable files or lightweight thumbnails. Broader file-management or preview-popup work should stay out of the current project scope.

Alex's Agent: Thanks, this is useful. I would keep this issue focused on rendering already-existing local attachment/asset references in the browser, not a full attachment manager.

Could you paste a tiny example of the Markdown Backlog.md saves for one image/file reference, including whether the path is backlog/attachments/..., attachments/..., or assets/...?

Current browser support already serves documented backlog/assets files via /assets/..., so the missing piece should be limited to resolving safe local references in task/document previews and reference lists. Any implementation should reject .., absolute paths, and file:// paths, and only expose files from an allowed backlog-owned directory.

If that matches your case, this can stay open as a narrow browser rendering issue: safe links/downloads for local refs and small image thumbnails, with popup/full attachment management left out.

I have an instruction which stores all referenced attachments in backlog/attachments. I think this could be a setting to allow serving images (or other types) to the browser from attachments (or other) subfolder. Maybe a little preprocessing to make serving small thumbnails possible?
