Once you have created a case using DATM/CTSM - simply do the following in your $CASEROOT

• if you want both megan and drydep
  .xmlchange CLM_BLDNML_OPTS="-megan -drydep" --append
• if you want just drydep
  ./xmlchange CLM_BLDNML_OPTS="-drydep" --append
• if you want just megan
  ./xmlchange CLM_BLDNML_OPTS="-megan -drydep" --append

@rosiealice - I think this should help you do your debugging in a much simpler configuration.
I would use a simple compset to start with - just DATM and CTSM - everything else stubs.
If you want to see what CTSM sends back to the mediator - simply ask for coupler history files and look there.
