Profile Slot in Shell Bar

Hello,

I'm experiencing a little bit of trouble with using a custom Avatar component in the shell bar. As you can see in the below screen shots, the avatar renders in the shell bar just fine (which leads me to believe the 'profile' slot is being read just fine), but when I go to click on the profile, I get a 'valid opener id is required.' warning in the console. Which seems to be the reason why my popover is not displaying when the profile photo gets clicked. Do you see anything wrong with any of the below screenshots?
