Proposal: adopt Autonomous Company Interface (ACI) for organizational discovery #13617

Description

@narko4u

ACI: An open standard for organizational discovery by autonomous agents

Hi — I'm Eddie Wade, founder of Empire Labs and initial steward of the Autonomous Company Interface (ACI) draft.

ACI is an open specification that allows autonomous agents to discover an organization's identity, capabilities, knowledge, trust assertions, and exposed agents through linked machine-readable manifests at .well-known/aci/.

I'm reaching out to AutoGPT because your project pioneered the autonomous agent space. As agents like AutoGPT navigate the web and interact with services, they need a reliable way to discover who runs a site, what capabilities it exposes, which APIs are available, and what trust model applies. That's the gap ACI fills.

We are looking for three independent implementations before promoting the draft toward v1.0. A Level 1 implementation can be deployed from our GitHub Pages template without build tooling — it means publishing an identity.json manifest.

I'm not asking for endorsement. I'd value an implementation attempt and honest feedback about anything unclear, unnecessary, or missing.

Thanks for your time — AutoGPT has been a huge inspiration for what we're building at Empire Labs.
