Thank you for your kind words! I’m glad you found the guides helpful. To answer your question, there is some overlap between my guide and the Group Policies mentioned on the Privacy Guides website. The difference is that this guide is designed to be accessible to all Windows users, regardless of the version they have (including Windows Home). It includes settings that can be adjusted through the standard Windows settings interface or the registry, so it’s applicable to everyone. I've tried my best to make this guide as comprehensive as possible but it's entirely possible that I've missed something. I can already see some additional settings in the Group Policies (like onedrive). |
Uh oh!

Hello,
First of all, I want to thank you for the comprehensive guides here.
I have a question: Does the Windows 11 guide overlap with the Group Policies mentioned on the Privacy Guides website? From my understanding, the settings are the same, but operate at different levels.
Would following the guide here be sufficient, or is it also worth applying the Group Policies from Privacy Guides?
