Doesn't detect my Arc Pro B50

I was informed in L1Techs Forum that the ones in Arc and the one from the PPA support Arc Pro B50.

Right now, it's not showing it (Device 0)

Can that be added here?

Try running as root. Also, make sure to be in the latest versions of kernel and nvtop. And, you didn't gave any information about your environment, which makes it harder to suggest any solution.

Thanks for the logs. You are using snap version, it might be causing the issue. First of all, try with the AppImage provided by this repository, https://github.com/Syllo/nvtop/releases/tag/3.3.2. Make it executable and run as root. If it fails to get the name, then it might be an issue with nvtop itself. There is a tool named intel_gpu_top provided by the package intel-gpu-tools, you can use that to track a few things too, it also requires you to run it as root.

You are also on Ubuntu 24 LTS but there is Ubuntu 26 LTS available. Maybe, upgrade your system if possible.

Hi, Also having issues with Intel B60 displaying the correct device name. Power, fan, temp, GPU and MEM all work correctly however.

Intel_gpu_top doesnt work due to the B60 using xe drivers, and not i915.
it would be awesome if this could display all the data for intel cards based off xe. thanks!

Hi, NVTOP just gets the name from udev (ID_MODEL_FROM_DATABASE). So I'm not sure why lspci and lshw work, but nvtop doesn't.

Could you post the output of these two:

Yeah interesting, udev just doesn't have the name. I personally don't think it's worthwhile to implement a workaround, as it's purely cosmetic, but I'm sure someone else might.

It seems udev gets its information from /usr/lib/udev/hwdb.d/20-pci-vendor-model.hwdb.

So you should be able to create a file at /etc/udev/hwdb.d/00-intel-arc.hwdb containing:
