Cluster (Secondary Node) only seeing IPv6 Address #1516
-
|
I'm running 14.01 and have two DNS servers that I want to cluster. When I go to Administration > Cluster > Initialize > New Cluster on the primary node, I see 4 IP addresses... (IPv4, Tailscale, and two IPv6). When I do the same on the secondary node, however, I only see 1 IPv6 address. For whatever reason, the IPv4 address isn't available and that's the address I want associated with the node. Any suggestions how to fix? They're both binary installations, not Docker. They're on separate machines, both running Proxmox. The primary node is in an Ubuntu 25.10 VM and the secondary node is in a Debian 13 LXC. When I type "ip addr" on the secondary, everything's showing up correctly and identically to the functional VM. |

Hey, just wondering, can you still access Technitium's UI and resolve DNS via the IPv4 address? |

Thanks for the feedback. The .NET runtime seems to be indicating to the DNS Server that the network adapter has dynamic IP address configured. Please check this comment in an older issue and see if this fixed the issue you have. |

Technitium DNS Server v14.1 is now available that resolves this issue by allowing to enter custom IP address. Do update and let me know your feedback. |
