Hi, I'm a CS freshman applying to the Tencent Rhino-Bird 2025 program
with YOLO-Master as my first choice project.

I've already set up the local environment and successfully run the
inference demo. I'm studying the codebase and particularly interested
in contributing to documentation and example scripts.

Hi! I ran it on CPU only (no dedicated GPU), it's noticeably slower for inference but works fine for basic testing and verifying the demo. If you have access to a GPU it'll run much faster. What's your setup looking like — are you also applying for the Rhino-Bird program?

Please feel free to try the pre-built inference bundle for Windows 10/11 Download. It's very fast at inference on CPU and does not require a dedicated GPU. You may follow the guidelines here README.md, or reach out to me if you have any concerns! Cheers.

Thanks for sharing! An RTX 3050 Ti should drastically speed up inference. Currently processing sample images takes several seconds on CPU; I’d love to benchmark the performance gap once I get access to a GPU.
My final exams are over, so I’m going to thoroughly study the project code moving forward. Excited to contribute to the community alongside you!
