Am able to get around it, but now getting a warning about "Don't allow deprecated API usage"

Visual Studio 2019 v16.1 blocks any extension from synchronously autoloading to favor async background loading

After clicking 'Allow synchronous autoload' this happens.

Finally, "Don't show this message for current extensions" eliminates any further intrusions.
