How can I make childnotes or notes created when I @note go into a certain folder?

@ocean-haiyang , when you create a new note with @ or Ctrl+L, it is always created as a child note. This is a design decision due to Trilium's tree model.

If you wish to have the note placed elsewhere, you can simply create it yourself first and then use @ name or copy-paste the note into your content.

If @ would ask you where to place the note, it would not make much of a difference in time/number of operations with simply going and creating the note yourself and linking it.

Actually, this is a feature that I think would be nice, and it would save time only for the very personal use case where one wants to put all the same notes with a similar template as a child of the template itself, or better (since I separate my "dev" templates from the rest of the "work" tree), under an empty entity that just serves this purpose.

Of course, there is probably an easy workaround where you would bookmark a search filter for that specific template.
