This is a suggestion for an enhancement: Option to add arrows to DAGs.

While i appreciate less is more, and I realise that the direction of flow is depicted by the progress from top to bottom, so consequently arrows would be informationally superfluous , i do wonder if they might help visually.

It's a nice idea for an enhancement. I would welcome a pull request on this. You probably need to make some extensions to the _place_* nodes to dagviz/style/metro.py line 178, and add some style options to StyleConfig.
