What problem does this address?
For a long time now, we have been exploring duotone effects in our themes and designs, and it has become part of our visual identity. But what if we could enhance this artistic feat by introducing tritones?
An example of a well-crafted tritone effect overlaying an image with three colors instead of two.
What is your proposed solution?
I don't have the technical knowledge to propose a solution, but from what I understand, it is possible. This free web tool, for instance, allows users to add tritones to images that will be exported. It may be a first step.
I believe the current UI and editing steps would remain largely unchanged from duotones to tritones. This seems more like an opportunity to enhance Gutenberg’s artistic features rather than a major functional overhaul.
