Describe your issue

I'm running XLibre (25.1.0) on FreeBSD 15, on a pc with integrated AMD graphics. I don't use a desktop login manager, but I have Joe's Window Manager installed, and I launch it with startx. Some apps won't launch from the command line, like librewolf, but others, like XFE do. I start Librewolf as:
$ librewolf
It does not launch a window but returns a message: Segmentation fault (core dumped)
The same happens if I install and try to launch the latest firefox.
Other apps I have installed, like XFE, or Nedit will launch just fine.
If I install Xorg, and restart my system, I can launch Librewolf or Firefox without a problem.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Performed a basic FreeBSD 15.0-RELEASE-p4. install on an AMD Athlon system. Added my username to the wheel group. Verified I am part of the video group. Logged in as my username.
  2. $ doas pkg install xlibre xlibre-xf86-video-amdgpu xlibre-xf86-video-ati
  3. Edited rc.conf to include the line kld_list="amdgpu"
  4. Installed Joe's WM, then edited .xinitrc to launch it.
  5. startx
  6. Able to launch JWM fine.
  7. Launched the default XTerm and ran the following install command:
  8. $ doas pkg install librewolf
  9. $ librewolf
  10. It does not launch, but returns a message: Segmentation fault (core dumped)
  11. Installed a couple of other apps to verify, Nedit, Dillo, XFE. They all launch just fine.
  12. I then install Xorg, which uninstalls XLibre. Rebooted my system, ran startx, and from XTerm I can launch Librewolf or Firefox.

What did you expect?

I expected Librewolf or Firefox to launch.
