Code of Conduct

Our Pledge

In the interest of fostering an open and welcoming community, we as contributors and maintainers of Secured Whisker pledge to respect all people who contribute to the project. We are committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

Our Standards

Examples of behavior that contributes to a positive environment:

  • Using welcoming and inclusive language;
  • Being respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences;
  • Gracefully accepting constructive criticism;
  • Showing empathy toward other community members;
  • Focusing on what is best for the community and the project.

Unacceptable Behavior

Examples of unacceptable behavior by participants include:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form (including inappropriate or offensive comments, slurs, or negative stereotyping);
  • Personal attacks, insults, or aggressive language directed at other participants;
  • Publishing private information (doxing) about others without explicit permission;
  • Sustained disruption of discussions or the community's work;
  • Any behavior that could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting.

Reporting & Enforcement

If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, please report it to the project maintainers. You can:

  • Open a new issue on the repository and add the label code-of-conduct (if issues are public and that is appropriate), or
  • Contact a maintainer directly via GitHub (for example by mentioning @YR72dpi), or
  • If the issue is sensitive, open a private communication channel with a maintainer (where available).

All reports will be handled with discretion. Maintainers will evaluate reports and may take actions including but not limited to: warning the offender, temporarily or permanently restricting access to the project, or contacting appropriate authorities in cases of illegal behavior.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all project spaces — including but not limited to GitHub issues, pull requests, mailing lists, chat channels, and in-person events organized by the project.

Attribution

This Code of Conduct is adapted for Secured Whisker from common community guidelines and established open-source conduct policies.

If you are unsure how to report, or need help, open an issue and tag it code-of-conduct or contact the maintainer on GitHub.
