Managed configuration #892

The cloud models do not work at all if you don't configure them. What is stopping your security from letting this go? |

Oh interesting! Would they be down to talk about enterprise use case or is
it only for you specifically? Trying to see if there's more we can do
/discuss to take this forward as I am not sure how to make sure these
things can get tracked by managed devices (how to wrap things up etc)
Down to discuss more!

As a user for my personal needs, I understand it’s opt-in.
But as you said, it’s “if you don’t enable them”. So it remains a choice
from the user, and they would need it to be managed on their side so it
*cannot* be enabled.(That would go through the “managed” UserDefaults,
from the profile applied by the administrator/MDM tool).

I was requesting access to the tool for myself, but I mentioned I think it would be great for the whole company. I know there were a lot of requests for a dictation tool that is better than what macOS does by default (and we’re all on Macs). I can try to find some more information about how they manage this for other apps, I know there are forced settings on Chrome for example. I can ask them if they’d be down to explain more what “guarantees” they’d need too. In terms of technically doing it, there’s this doc from Apple that seems to be a newer system but also this doc section from Apple on using UserDefaults. UI wise, on Chrome and Safari where I’ve seen it in action, the settings are disabled with a note explaining it’s managed by an administrator. |

Thanks for the info! Will check it out :) Would love to have a chat about your company and if/ what can we do to figure out your security concerns and if private local AI would help and also see if there's any scope for them to adopt FV as we have models for mac that is even better than what's released till now! down for a chat? https://x.com/FluidVoiceApp or fluidvoice@altic.dev - Either works!! |

Closing this here for now! |
Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
I would love to use the app at work but I can’t because it’s rejected by our security team because of the cloud models.
Our other apps are managed through profiles deployed on all Macs.
The goal would be to be able to disable all cloud processing through managed configuration, and otherwise be able to configure the cloud providers managed by the company.
