It's not so easy. ALVR exists as an extension to steamvr - not as a standalone flatpak. As an extension we can't create a nice desktop shortcut - unless we do some more work. I've been meaning to look at this again - there is an "xdg portal" thing which can provide a launcher for launchers maybe.

Without all these items in place it's likely we would not meet the requirements for flathub.

Also flathub would not really be that useful for updating - the alvr launcher already handles this.
