Embed types into the package itself?

In 2026 pretty much everyone is using TypeScript, and separate @types package is more of an exception than a rule. Maybe it would make sense for amqplib to move types inside the repo as well?

Agree. The API hardly ever changes and they'll be far easier to maintain with Gen AI too.
