As a student i want to be able to request funding for SFA at private canadian institution outside of bc.

Eligibility and Basic information

• Create a new application appeal for FT
• This appeal can be bundled with other application appeals
• Validation criteria will be the following
  • Student is eligible for this when they would otherwise be eligible for Financial aid but are not due to institution combinations below:

• Description
  A request to be eligible to receive provincial student financial aid for an application at a private institution in Canada outside of British Columbia.
• Appeal name
  Canadian out-of-province private institution BC student financial aid train out provision​ (collapsible)
• Appeal form content

This submission allows you to request consideration to receive provincial student financial aid for your application at a private institution in Canada outside of British Columbia under the train-out provision.

Please review the following and confirm below that you understand and want to proceed:

This exemption provision has been made available due to recent policy changes.

This submission does not guarantee approval.

This review is conducted administratively and is not subject to review by the Appeal Committee.

To be approved you must have received funding during the 2025-2026 financial aid program year in the same program and at the same institution as your current application.

You will continue to be eligible until you complete your program or until July 31, 2029, whichever occurs first. ​

To remain eligible you must submit this request for each relevant application.
