where do i find "Review -> Alerts" mp4 urls ?

Hi everyone,

In the Frigate web UI at http://frigate/review, I can see beautiful alert videos (review clips) that look much better than the ones I get via the API using start_time and end_time (like http://frigate:5000/api/deurbel/start/<start_time>/end/<end_time>/clip.mp4).

I would love to automatically send the latest review clip to my Telegram via my domotica system (Homey), but I can’t figure out where to get the actual URL of those review clips.

Is there an endpoint like:

http://frigate:5000/api/deurbel/review/last/clip.mp4

or something similar that gives me the latest review clip directly?

I have MQTT set up and working, but even with that, I can’t find a way to grab the proper review clip URLs. Surely I’m not the only one trying to do this. Any ideas or tips would be very much appreciated!

You'd use the start and end time API with the review items start and end time

i tried that but that gives very small clips, then i used the start from events/before/start en the end from reviews/after/end those are a bit larger but still not the perfection the http://frigate/review gives.

The UI looks at continuous recordings, when you open a review item it opens to the start time of the review item minus 5 seconds

ah! those 5 seconds are what makes it so perfect, you see someone walking in frame instead of already being there!

is there a way so substract 5 seconds from the start time? the format: 1742821955.616192 looks like random to me

that is just a number, seconds since 1970, so just subtract 5
