Actually, casa-dev environment for virtual box does not contain a ready to use environment, but it contains all the necessary dependencies and scripts to be able to build BrainVISA softwares and develop in CASA environment.
This discussion propose to complete the setup of the environment :
2°) Follow instructions described in chapter "Install with VirtualBox" of https://brainvisa.info/web/download.html using casa-dev-5.0-2.ova file instead of a run image and start virtual machine casa-dev-5.0
3°) Create dirs in /casa/hosts :
cd /casa/host
mkdir bin build conf home install src
sudo bash -c "cat > /etc/profile.d/casa-dev.sh"<<EOF#!/bin/shexport CASA_SYSTEM='ubuntu-18.04'export CASA_TYPE='dev'# Use the software-only mesa library install in /usr/local/lib as a fallback# (singularity puts the path to nvidia libraries in LD_LIBRARY_PATH).LD_LIBRARY_PATH=\${LD_LIBRARY_PATH}\${LD_LIBRARY_PATH+:}/usr/local/libif [ "\$SOFTWARE_OPENGL" = "1" ]; then LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib/mesa\${LD_LIBRARY_PATH+:}\${LD_LIBRARY_PATH}fiexport LD_LIBRARY_PATH# Source the environment that is defined in the casa-run and casa-dev images,# if they exist.if [ -f /casa/environment.sh ]; then . /casa/environment.shfiif [ -f /casa/dev-environment.sh ]; then . /casa/dev-environment.shfi# Allow user customizations like in a login shell - singularity runs the# entrypoint shell as a non-interactive, non-login shell, thus reads no user# init script; however the host config is not valid here thus is not inherited# like in a non-login shell. In summary the situation here is similar to a# login shell.# Hence we source the user .profile file if it exists.if [ -f "\$HOME/.profile" ]; then . "\$HOME/.profile"fiEOF
5°) Update the ~/.profile script to add the dev branch you want to use
cat >~/.profile <<EOF# the default umask is set in /etc/profile; for setting the umask# for ssh logins, install and configure the libpam-umask package.#umask 022# if running bashif [ -n "\$BASH_VERSION" ]; then # include .bashrc if it exists if [ -f "\$HOME/.bashrc" ]; then . "\$HOME/.bashrc" fifi# set PATH so it includes user's private bin if it existsif [ -d "\$HOME/bin" ] ; then export PATH="\$HOME/bin:\$PATH"fi# set PATH so it includes user's private bin if it existsif [ -d "\$HOME/.local/bin" ] ; then export PATH="\$HOME/.local/bin:\$PATH"fiexport CASA_BRANCH=masterEOF
6.2) Create /casa/host/conf/svn.secret replacing and with bioproj login and password
cat > /casa/host/conf/svn.secret" <<EOF# This is a shell script that must set the variables SVN_USERNAME# and SVN_PASSWORD. Do not forget to properly quote the variable# especially if values contains special characters.SVN_USERNAME='<user>'SVN_PASSWORD='<password>'EOF
