Hi Matthew,
Unfortunately, there seems to be an error with SageMath that is preventing it from being loaded into Binder. This is not only happening for me and you, but for any of the binder environments trying to use SageMath. I posted the issue at https://ask.sagemath.org/question/59187/binder-environment-using-sagemath-is-not-loading/ . Someone reposted the issue on the Sage Development Forum page, however no one has found a solution yet. I hope this will be fixed soon. In the meantime, I have had the students either use lab computers which have SageMath already installed or download SageMath onto their personal computers.

Thanks Cuyler, I asked about this to sagemath (sagemath/sage-binder-env#9) and to binder (sagemath/sage-binder-env#9). Hopefully there is a solution soon as I really liked how simple it was to share the notebooks with students this way (especially when everything was remote). In the meantime my workaround has been cocalc.com, which has been working ok (a bit slow). -Matt |
