Currently, users can import calendars from files, but the system doesn't support direct integration with external providers. This limits the ability to seamlessly synchronize and use up-to-date information. Implementing a direct connection to Google Calendar through the API will enable the system to fetch real-time data for Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). You can use the recently added support for Gmail as a source of inspiration (see implementation and documentation).
Expected outcomes
Users can use a new tool designed to search and aggregate data from Google Calendar, which serves as a data source for RAG.
