Planning a release by the upcoming weekend. Will do a major release if we're able to complete #6362 by then, but no pressure - I'll release again whenever we have the changes ready :)

Beta release was accepted on 20th July. Received just one crash report so far and it's a known issue (FileNotFoundException).

Sorry, I was looking at some other issues getting picked up as part of the Outreachy round this year. This is the one I was talking about: #6351. #6379 has not been reported yet for v5.6.0.

Checking the commits now at https://github.com/commons-app/apps-android-commons/commits/v5.6.0-beta/ I am pretty sure it contains that bug... feel free to revert commit e5dbcfc in that release branch.

You did nothing wrong, my bad for merging without checking enough. :-)

Would you mind including the fix in this release? You can cherry-pick (#6382) if you want, or just pull main.

In the interest of timely release, I suggest reverting the initial sparql modification and everything that followed.
