Allowing other icons in siderbar #121

Why aren't we allowed to use other icons ?
I also tried with svg icons but these are not displayed (because I got icons in svg, but not )
I tried to convert like it's mentioned in #85 but icon is no more as it should.
I prefer to use glassy icons (I hate flat and "symbolic" icons as in MDI).
So why other mime types (png, gif, jpeg, webp...) of images seems to be not allowed too ?
