Actions before raising this issue

I searched the existing issues and did not find anything similar.
I read/searched the docs

Steps to Reproduce

Draw a polygon or a mask
Edit - slice - do the slice
Delete the sliced piece
Edit - slice

No slicing will be available

Press esc
Edit - slice

Slicing is available once again

Expected Behavior

No extra actions needed for the second slicing to work.
