Resource analysis confirmed that the server is not running out of memory, and the Linux Out-Of-Memory (OOM) Killer was not a factor.
An exhaustive series of diagnostic and corrective actions were taken to isolate the root cause. All standard configuration errors were definitively ruled out.
Initial Setup & Configuration:
Cloned the latest version of the official LibreChat repository.
Created and meticulously configured the .env file with minimal and correct settings.
Network Troubleshooting:
Confirmed the Ollama service was running correctly on the host server.
Diagnosed and resolved container-to-host communication issues by implementing network_mode: "host" for all essential services (api, chat-mongodb, meilisearch).
Verified Network Connectivity: A curl test from inside the api container successfully connected to the Ollama service (http://localhost:11434), proving the network path is open and functional.
File and Data Integrity:
Permissions Fix: Corrected file ownership of the entire LibreChat directory (sudo chown -R 1000:1000 .) to resolve potential write-permission errors.
Database Reset: Forcefully removed and recreated the MongoDB data volume (./data-node) to resolve database corruption and container crash loops.
