Remapping for Simultaneous Button Press

I have a modified Sega Master System that has the controller Pause button modification. This modification simulates the console's PAUSE function through the controller sending an 'impossible' button combination of DPAD UP simultaneous with DPAD DOWN. I use a Retrobit Sega Megadrive controller paired with a BlueRetro adapter and was wondering whether it is possible to map a spare button on the controller to Simultaneous DPAD UP + DPAD DOWN? Currently, I map the Left Shoulder button to DPAD UP and the Right to DPAD DOWN and just press them at the same time - it works but it's inelegant, especially as the RetroBit controller has a Pause button! Any help would be much appreciated.

If you managed to assign DPAD UP and DPAD DOWN to the L and R triggers, you could also assign both to the R or L trigger or the PAUSE button if it is available in the controller layout you chose.

Thanks for the reply, it worked great. I hadn't realised you could assign a button more than once, I thought it would just take the last mapping :\
