Document research/design steps to create or update a pattern

User Story

As a AEDP Designer, I want to document the steps the Designers/Researchers follow to launch a pattern so that we can accurately plan the time needed for future patterns* and improve our process as we go.

*With our pivot to Blue Sky content, the process and timelines might change. Still, it will be helpful to document the steps Design/Research went through in our last patterns.

Resources

• We have the Design Patterns Admin Space Mural board that shows our process workflow and the What Goes Into a Pattern Mural board that shows our tasking against a sprint timeline. However, there are lots of details that our Designers/Researchers hold in their heads that would be helpful to document.

Deliverables

• A doc that articulates the steps and rough timelines associated with researching, designing, and publishing a pattern.

Acceptance Criteria

• Doc is created
• Doc is reviewed by below parties

Review needed by

• VA Product Owner - PO might find this interesting to view, but as this is meant to be an internal/process doc that we're not publishing outside our team, PO approval isn't required
• Product Manager
• UX Research Team
• Engineering Team - would appreciate eyes on the doc, but not required

Definition of Done

• Documentation has been updated, if applicable.
• Acceptance Criteria in related issue are met.
• Reviewers have approved.

Here's the Google doc where I've outlined the steps the UX team uses to research and update a pattern. I still have a few placeholders and areas to fill in. The team is welcome to check it out, but I'll make a more formal call for review/feedback later today once I've filled in those gaps.
