Hi, with the new release 6.12.17 device based on s905x4 doesn't boot from SD card anymore.

My A95X F4 also freezes when booting v6.12.17 from SD card.
I haven't tried booting from USB yet.

Thanks for reporting this (and creating this post 😉).

First: why on earth use sdcards to boot Amlogic boxes?
sdcards are only good for one thing: corrupting your data. A small USB flash drive is always the better option (more stable, better tested and faster) .

However, it should work normally.

Attached are some modified DTB's that should fix the problem. Just copy them to the /boot partition and it should work. If it does work, please report back here. Then I'll add it to the images when kernel 6.12.18 is released.

Regarding your question about SD card usage. To me its more convenient, I think, fits nicely in the box
All in all I am going to move to eMMC once all I need works as expected.
