Choose the Right Place

Issues (tracked repository work)

Use Issues when the topic should become a tracked development task:

• Reproducible bugs
• Concrete feature requests ready for implementation
• Clear technical tasks that can lead to a PR

Discussions (conversation and feedback)

Use Discussions when you need exploration, help, or community input:

• Q&A: setup, configuration, compatibility, troubleshooting
• Ideas: early proposals and design discussion
• Show and tell: share your server setup and results
• General: open community conversation
• Polls: gather community preference

Quick Rule

• Needs a tracked code change -> open an Issue
• Needs discussion first -> open a Discussion

Before Posting

Please do these first:

• Search existing Issues/Discussions to avoid duplicates
• Include relevant context when applicable:
  • FaunaReborn version
  • Paper/Folia build
  • Java version
  • Relevant config snippets and logs

Review Standards

PRs and Issues are reviewed in detail by the maintainer.

Priority order:

1. Stability
2. Performance safety
3. Maintainability
4. Merge speed

Strong PRs usually include:

• Clear problem statement
• Focused scope
• Validation/testing notes
• Config impact or migration notes (if applicable)
