It would be nice to have the ability to mention users with @username in comments. Ideally with a drop-down list similar to GitHub.
They should receive an email like subscribers.
An alternative idea would be a feature for inviting users to a discussion. Then they should receive an subscription link via email.

You can use [[user>username]] for referring users. It creates just a link to the user, so no mention with notification. That functionality is not supported.
Is it an idea to make the date of a comment clickable, such that easier an unique referrer can be copied to a specific comment?
For me it too much work to implement sending subscription links.
Maybe a share button is what you see more today?
